Surcharges for Special Locations or Limited Traffic Zones

 

During the quotation phase, the Distributor is required to correctly select the Limited Traffic Zone checkbox (applicable for Limited Traffic Zones and Pedestrian Areas).

The entered address is verified by Dhomeo upon booking the supply, and simultaneously, the potential applicability and amount of the Limited Traffic Zone surcharge are verified (the surcharge quoted by the system when the Limited Traffic Zone box is checked is merely an indicative and non-binding estimate; the specific amount of the surcharge depends on hourly restrictions, the method required to request the access permit, and the cost of the access permit).

Surcharges for special vehicles

 

Special vehicles may sometimes become necessary for addresses that (due to road restrictions or objective dimensional reasons) require the use of vehicles less than 12 meters in length. While we always work (together with our logistics partners) to avoid the need to charge the Distributor a specific surcharge for the use of special vehicles, the circumstance may still arise.

In these cases it is not possible to cancel supplies that have already been initiated: If a supply (or order) that has already been initiated requires a surcharge for a special location or special vehicles, the available options for the Distributor are alternatively to either pay the surcharge or specify a different address (outside the special location).

Finally, surcharges based on a specific quote may be required for deliveries to areas definable as 'construction sites' (sites under construction or completion) or certain particularly remote minor islands
